Leadership– On Purpose© is a focused leadership development program designed around the Aim, Arm and Act Principle.
AIM: Participants clearly articulate both their personal and corporate purpose
ARM: They learn to shape their skills and the organization’s resources to meeting the purpose
ACT: They immediately put those skills into practice – on purpose

Covers all materials, breaks and lunches. There is also special pricing available during the course on any additional materials to use with anyone else in the organization (33% discount)

Objectives: Learn and practice effective listening, feedback and inquiry skills
Influence effectively in situations marked by conflict, anger, and resistance

Use a schema to plan and implement effective delegation
Learn and practice coaching skills
Learn and practice a problem solving and decision making method
Apply method to an actual problem, developing a plan for implementation
Preview basics of project planning and planning tools
Audit inter-personal ethics as a base for leadership growth
Learn tools for facilitating ethics introspection with co-workers

Objectives: Assess areas of responsibilities in terms of appropriateness to team action
Critique current team health and lead team through a diagnosis
Learn the four stages of team development and plan for leading team through them
Assess the support system for team operation and develop plan for improvement
Learn and practice group facilitation skills and apply interpersonal skills to team
Apply knowledge of personality styles and diversity awareness to team development
Strategic planning for professional and career development

Objectives: Understand the dynamics of change
Learn change agent skills and develop plan to assist others with change
Identify, prioritize and develop plans to improve systems problems
Develop plan for follow-up and professional development

Leadership– On Purpose© is taught by Bob Ryan of About Purpose, Inc.
Bob Ryan is president of About Purpose, a 25-year old consulting firm dedicated to helping businesses articulate and carry out their purpose. He is founder of SWiM® Starting With Me™, a program to promote business and individual ethics through personal responsibility.
He has a masters degree in hospital and health care administration and a bachelor degree in social welfare. He has been married to Linda for 35 years. He has one daughter, Allison, a son-in-law, Isaac, and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Amelie.
